What’s Happening In The Land Of Pre-K?
Ms. Stecker and Ms. Lee

 November News 

Ms. Stecker and Ms. Lee could not be more proud of the progress that is being made in their classes. Now that the students are accustomed to the daily routine of school, the adjustment process has finally fallen nicely into place. The students in both classes play together everyday on the playground. Furthermore, Ms. Stecker and Ms. Lee have arranged different collaborative activities that have included all 36 students. In doing this, the students are creating nice friendships within their own class, and the other Pre-K class as well. We like to look at the entire Pre-K as a happy community.
Just this past week, we completed our unit on All About Me. Throughout our unit we discovered different characteristics of our bodies. We explored various aspects of ourselves; as well as what we look like, what we wear, and how to keep our bodies happy, healthy, and clean.
In the month of November we will be exploring our families. We will compare and contrast the similarities of our families as well as the differences. We will also be discussing the holiday of Thanksgiving, and the important role that family plays in celebrating various holidays.
In math we have successfully completed our Color Study. We are now beginning to learn about all of the different shapes. We will be studying squares, circles, rectangles, triangles, diamonds, ovals, and hearts.
Throughout the course of the next few weeks we will be introducing our next series of Letter People. Our new friends will be teaching us about how to take care of ourselves and be responsible for our actions.
• We will be having a Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday, November 25, at 1:00 p.m. We will send home notices at a later date with further details. Please start to think about what you may want to bring in. We want to be careful not to have multiple dishes of the same foods.

A Few Reminders: There is no school on November 4, 11, 27 and 28.

Ms. Stecker and Ms. Lee want to thank all of you for your continued promptness at the end of the school day. As you know by now, we usually come outside around 2:15 p.m. This is so that we beat the rush of the older students and ensure the safety of ours.
Have a Happy November…Gobble, Gobble…

All Our Best,

Ms. Stecker and Ms. Lee
